Friday, May 30, 2008 Event: Black Dome’s Rock 2 Rock Trail RunSpectacular day and very competitive field. Being the first stop on the nationwide LaSportiva Mountain Cup brought out the heat. Course records fell for both men and women…The brother and sister team of Shiloh Mielke and Meadow Tarves decimated a deep field that included national champions Mark and Anne Lundblad, national trail marathon champion Aaron Saft and 2008 Mt. Mitchell champion Jason Bryant, along with a host of local trail running talent. The numbers were up a bit this year and we anticipate growth again for 2009…The race is sponsored by Black Dome Mountain Sports, Jus Running and Camp Rockmont. And, it is part of the Mountain Sports Festival.
